Dear Members,
The QTOA has provided key input from an owners perspective into the independent review of the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC).
The review was called by Racing Minister Grace Grace in December last year and will see stakeholders right across the industry provide input on the current state of QRIC.
QTOA was invited to provide feedback from an owners perspective in a recent interview with an independent panel being conducted by KPMG.
We hope that the findings of the review will lead to better working relationships between all industry stakeholders and QRIC.
QTOA will also meet with stakeholders next month as part of our regular Thoroughbred Alliance meetings incorporating representatives from the trainers, jockeys, and breeders.

We are pleased to advise that the QTOA Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday, April 15.
We are currently in the process of finalising our annual audit and QTOA financial members will receive direct communications about the AGM in the coming weeks.
Interesting about integrity. I think that should be something done across all codes in each state every two or three year period.
I have several fingers in the pie. I am proud to have a vested interest in 3 different states; however one from another state is a dark cloud, ready to burst. I have sent numerous emails to the trainer, S.A Racing and even included Racing Australia; and all I get back is a whimsical response from the trainer.
My opinion about racing integrity is definitely not positive at this point and I know there are plenty of good honest people who not only care about their horses and staff, but also the people who are a part of…
